Today I wanted to ask a question, answer it for you, and then ask if I am right, as I may be missing the obvious and, due to not using them, probably way off the mark! So, now that all makes perfect sense let’s dive into it.

You may have read my recent article on Medium, “A List That Went Viral” I talk about a viral article that was never meant to be. This almost happened a second time after a recent trip/vacation with my family.
Before leaving, I asked my followers if they could recommend a program to help me schedule my posts on the various platforms I work on. However, I understood that getting across all ten of them would be practically impossible.
Medium
Substack
Ko-fi
Blogsite
Facebook
Twitter
YouTube
Fiverr
TikTok

Yes, it is a big list, so all the more reason for some help. Thankfully, many readers came to my aid. However, I could not use one tool across all of my platforms. I left everything to the last minute and ended up just leaving things until I returned home.

Since my return, I have searched to try and find the best tools out there and have come up with what I feel is “paying a platform for convenience.“ Sites such as www.loomly.com or asana.com offer solutions, but as I said only to limited sites.
I appreciate that there may be coding restrictions or privacy concerns. However, that problem is for the CEOs and Gurus that earn the big bucks! I am “Joe Blogs”, looking for an all-in-one solution I cannot find.
Is there a gap in the market? Am I the only one looking? Maybe I am too choosy. In any case, I cannot find what I want. That being said, I have looked into the platforms I post on daily.
Medium
You may already know that you can schedule articles you publish on Medium. Still, you are restricted to self-publishing unless you own a publication, as owners and editors can schedule in their own publications.
Substack
I have yet to use this feature, but after reading how to, it seems easy enough!
Ko-fi
A very simple process that works a treat!
My Blogsite
Which has not been updated in months (I must get around to this very soon!) I have a scheduling tool. Again, I have not sued it, but the general layout and tools are very simple. I have no doubt this would be very straightforward.
Facebook
You can schedule on Facebook. It is easy, and you have many options available to you without any restrictions that I have noticed. I have been doing this for just over a year with no issues.
Twitter
You can schedule. However, I have not used this feature. How hard can it be?
YouTube
I always use this, but I have never published after finishing my content. I will try and schedule two weeks in advance if I can. Because YouTube is a real-time suck, anyone who produces will understand the amount of time put into each video.
Fiverr
Whilst this is not the type of platform to schedule, it allows you to “turn off” the feature of being hired, such as if you are on holiday/vacation, etc.
TikTok
I have never used TikTok to schedule a post. The truth is known I am not a huge fan of the platform, but it does give you the option if needed.

There is nothing to schedule, nothing to see here. Please turn around and walk away!

My Conclusion
With that being said, was I just looking for a tool out of convenience? Most platforms already give you these options individually anyway, so why pay another platform to do it for you?
That is my genuine question. I have not used these paid-for tools. Do you have experience with them? Do they work well for you, or are they overpriced?
I might be missing other features that make these tools worth paying for. Please comment below if that is the case, or have I hit the nail on the head? Are we just paying another platform for something that already exists?
I use only Medium, Substack, LinkedIn & Twitter and it is hard enough. How do you manage so much posting Robert? Do you re-purpose?
Of the platforms I use, they all have the auto scheduler. I've used it in them all, but not all at the same time. I learned the how-to of it in case I needed them. You've given me a mind to do a test run and get all of them active pre-scheduled for a test run before I actually need it.
Talking FB, IG, Medium, Substack, Twitter and Pinterest.
I would think that if it were easily set up for those juggernauts (and your Youtube of course) that would take over half the load Robert, then maybe a VA for the rest?
